Questions, answered

If yours isn't here, call or text and we'll answer it.

How does the quote work?

We visit for about an hour, measure the tub opening, check the floor and walls and ask how you'd like to use the shower. There is no charge for the visit or the quote. The quote comes in writing, lists what is removed, what goes in, the fixtures and the days, and gives one price for that list.

What changes the price?

The size of the shower, acrylic or tile, whether the drain moves, glass or no glass, and what we find behind the old walls. The pricing page lists each one.

Do you pull the permit?

When your city or county asks for one, we pull it and the inspection is part of the schedule. Jobs that move the plumbing usually need one. The permit fee is listed on your quote.

How long does it take, and when can you start?

An acrylic swap is usually two or three working days, a tile shower about five, and an easy-entry shower five to seven. Winter is a busy stretch for us, so ask at the visit how soon we can start.

My house was built before 1978. Does that change anything?

It can. Paint in homes built before 1978 may contain lead, and the EPA's lead rule covers paid work that disturbs it. Tearing out a tub surround counts: the small-job exemption (6 square feet inside) does not apply to demolition. We ask the year your house was built at the visit. If it is before 1978, the work follows the EPA's rule: we seal off the work area, use dust-control methods and clean up with a HEPA vacuum. Our certification is listed on the license page.

What happens if you find something behind the wall?

We stop, take a photo and show you. Then we write the repair and its price, and wait for your yes before we go on.

How do changes to the job work?

Any change to the list, such as a different tile or an extra grab bar, is written down with its price and signed by you before we do it.

What is your deposit and payment schedule?

They are written in your contract and follow Florida rules. We never ask for the full amount before the work starts.

Can you work in a condo or an HOA community?

Yes. Many communities ask for a request form, proof of insurance and set work hours. We fill in the paperwork with you. Your association has the final say.

What is the warranty?

We repair leaks and defects in our workmanship for one year after the work is finished. Fixtures, tile and glass carry their manufacturers' warranties. Terms, limits and exclusions are written in your contract.

What don't you do?

We don't remodel kitchens, move walls, add bathrooms or repair roofs. If your bathroom needs more than a shower, we say so at the visit.

Do you speak Spanish?

Magdalena and Armando do. The quote and the schedule come in Spanish too. Ciara speaks English.
