How pricing works

Your price is for your bathroom. Here is how we get to it.

  • What decides the price

Five things: the size of the shower, acrylic or tile, whether the drain moves, what we find behind the old walls, and glass or no glass.

    • Acrylic is quicker and costs less than tile

    • Moving a drain means cutting the concrete slab

    • Glass doors and extra niches add to the total

  • What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't

The quote lists the work in writing: what is removed, what goes in, the fixtures by model, the number of working days and the price.

    • Included: tear-out, hauling, new walls and base, valve, shower head, drain and clean-up

    • Not included: permit fee, a glass door unless listed, and repairs behind the walls

  • What happens at the visit

About an hour at your home. We measure the opening, look at the floor and walls, find the drain and valve, and ask how you'd like to use the shower. There is no charge for the visit or the quote, and no visit fee to credit.

  • After hours

We don't take night or weekend jobs. The crew works on weekdays, in the daytime, so you aren't kept up and neither are your neighbors.

  • When you get the number

In writing, after the visit and before any work starts. If we find something behind a wall, we stop, show you a photo and write the new price first.

Your deposit and payment schedule are written in your contract, following Florida rules.

The three packages

Three packages, with what is in each

These are the three packages for a standard 60-inch tub opening. Your quote is for your bathroom.

  • Swap

Acrylic walls and a new base where the tub was. Usually two or three working days.

    • Tub and surround removed and hauled away
    • Acrylic wall panels and a slip-resistant base
    • New valve, shower head and drain
    • Glass door
    • Repairs found behind the old walls
  • Tile

Porcelain tile walls and a tiled base. Usually four to five working days.

    • Everything in the Swap, with tile instead of acrylic
    • Waterproof layer under the tile
    • One niche for shampoo
    • Glass door
    • Permit fee
  • Easy-entry

A tile shower with a seat and a low step. Usually five to seven working days.

    • Everything in the Tile package
    • A built-in seat
    • Wall backing for grab bars, and two bars
    • Handheld sprayer on a slide bar
    • A fully flat floor, which can mean cutting the slab

Your written quote sets the price for your bathroom. Moving a drain, rot or old pipes behind the walls, and permit fees are listed on it.
